The Govt of Andhra Pradesh is one of the progressive states in India and is deeply committed to clean technology and sustainable development. In fact, Government of Andhra Pradesh (GoAP) was one of the first states to implement the power sector reforms resulting in unbundling of the state utility.
The establishment of CII – Godrej GBC blends well with the "Vision – 2020" of GoAP, which underlines "Clean and Green AP", environment management, enhancing energy efficiency at generation, transmission & distribution.
Reflecting its commitment and vision to promote green activities in the state, the GoAP had allotted 5 Acres (over 20000 square metres) of land to CII, free of cost, for construction of the CII – Godrej GBC building at Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh.

The house of Godrej is highly committed to establishing CII – Godrej GBC in India and have sponsored the construction cost of the CII – Godrej GBC building to an extent of Rs. 50 million (USD 1 Million).

To achieve its goal; the strategic objective of the USAID is to provide improved access to clean energy and water in select states. This can be achieved to a large extent through the establishment of CII – Godrej GBC at Hyderabad.
USAID is a technical partner in the establishment of CII – Godrej GBC and is involved right since its conceptualization in March 2000
